I'm a reasonably fit 35-year old cyclist who just started racing this year. I have been competitive in my first races (2 top 10, 2 top 15 finishes out of 5 races, 1 DNF [mechanical]). I'm a fairly light guy (5-9, 150) and I climb fairly well but my sprint sucks and I feel like I don't have a 'kick'. I would like to do some weight work this winter and am looking for advice as to excercise/reps/sets to do to improve my cycling. I'm sure squats, leg presses, leg curls & extensions will comprise the bulk of the workout but I respectfully request the collective wisdom of this august group.
