But then perhaps the suffering of a much loved family member would have no impact on someone like yourself, or perhaps the attitude that prevails among some here of who cares, let these bitches die is more prevalent than I thought Thank you for those kind words. I am in the happy position of being able to tell you that my wife is a 16 year survivor of breast cancer. The reason I can tell you that is that she was most punctilious about boring things such as appropriate checkups and mammograms for years before at a time when there were no freebies going, and at the first sign of it she had it chopped out. Since then she has continued to do the right things and at her last check she was cleared away for the next year. Similarly I trot along every year and my friendly corner GP sticks his finger up my bum. It isn't much but one does what one can. All this over the years has cost an arm and a leg, but we are sensible people with rather more than two brain cells to rub together.
